Family Enrichment Services/Parenting Education Director

The Family Enrichment Services Director is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of home-based parenting education services for families at-risk of child abuse and neglect. The Director will:
- Oversee daily program operations of home-based parenting program
- Design interactive parent-child activities to be demonstrated by staff
- Provide clinical supervision and training to all program staff
- Make creative contributions to program development
- Implement parenting education curriculum
- Work collaboratively with the Department of Children and Families and community providers
Requirements
Candidates must have A Master's Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education or related field. A minimum of five years direct service experience and two years supervisory experience is preferred. An ability to support, teach and advise supervisees is essential.
Knowledge of child development and effective parent engagement and education skills is required. Strong organizational and management skills are necessary to handle varied duties and responsibilities. Experience as a trainer is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills including Word and Excel are necessary. The applicant must own a car in good working order, maintain a CT state driver's license and automobile liability insurance and be comfortable in making home visits.
